I'm on Chi.mp!
That was quicker than I expected. I got my beta code on Friday and started playing on Saturday. It's in early beta so I soon came up with problems but it's looking good.
Added a few services, Facebook, Flickr and Twitter. Ran into problems with Facebook, it doesn't want to play on the Google Chrome browser, so back to good old Firefox 3.
Got all of my Flickr and some of my Facebook contacts into it, difficult to check though. I like that fact you can merge multiple contact entries, except when they have different names, it will only use one name then which is a pain.
They also give away domain names, I'm waveydavie.mp :-)
There's also OpenID, which I've yet to figure out :-(
If you're interested, they're after more testers, oops, I don't seem to have any beta invites.
I'm sure they'll sort out the problems, they're on Get Satisfaction.

Chi.mp
Chi.mp looks very promising. I tried to get into the alpha version today only to find it's closed, however, I did get on the list for the beta version out in September. I suggest you have a look.

Bad script, bad!
AAARRRRGGGGGHHH!
This happens every day:
"A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.
Script: chrome://global/content/bindings/browser.xml:0"

Ubiquity, oh well.....
Hmmmff, Ubiquity only works with Firefox 3. Ah well, it had crossed my mind to move on from Firefox 2 yesterday anyhow. So here goes.......
How often do you put together an email with lots of links to this, that and the next thing, I do it all the time. Wouldn't it be great to actually put all those things in the email.
Well here it is, Mozilla Labs are experimenting with a new user interface called Ubiquity. It seems a lot like Apture in some ways.
I've still to experiment with Apture and haven't had a chance to try out Ubiquity, so more to come on these apps.

Installing Apture here....
....or failing miserably as the case may be.
If you don't know what it is then check it out at:

and

I wish I understood HTML, then I might have managed to install it by now. That's nearly 2 hours I've been at it, pray for me, for I may have lost the will to live within the next few hours :-(

34 months!?
Two years, ten months since my first/last post. Not bad going. This was meant for use by the family, hmmf, needless to say, they don't blog.
Hope it's not another 34 months till the next one:-(
